Returns Policy

For students purchasing textbooks for a Self-Paced Training course, textbooks may be returned for a full refund within 14 days of receipt.

For students purchasing textbooks for an Evening or Weekend Program course in Washington, DC, textbooks may be returned for a full refund within 14 calendar days of the start of classes or within 14 days of receipt, whichever is later.

Specialty Books only provides a refund for shipping costs if the return is a direct result of company error.

NEW BOOKS MUST BE RETURNED UNDAMAGED AND UNUSED TO QUALIFY FOR REFUND (Note: Tapes and CD's must be returned unopened to be considered 'new'.)

Return Process

A copy of the original invoice must accompany the return of the book. Failure to provide this copy will result in an unprocessed return. Returns should be sent to:

Specialty Books, Inc. reserves the right to reject books that are received in less than "new" condition. Books will be returned to the customer via fourth class mail if they are not eligible for a refund.

SHIPPING COSTS ARE NOT REFUNDED.

Customer Satisfaction Statement

If you are dissatisfied with your book for any reason we will give you a 100% refund of the textbook cost, providing it is in its original condition. Books must be returned according to the return policy outlined above. We will only refund shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.

Due to the sheer volume of titles on our database, occasionally the odd title may be inaccurately priced. When your order is received, our staff scrutinize your order:
  • If the price of the book is lower than the stated price, we honor the lower amount.

  • Alternatively, if the price of the book is higher than stated, we will contact you immediately for a decision.

Remember, your credit card is not charged until we ship your order. If you paid by check, partial refunds will be reimbursed by check without delay.
